Corporate fitness and wellbeing: the next wave of workplace wellness
The need for physical and mental health support from employees has risen significantly in the aftermath of the pandemic, as 80% of organisations see a rise in demand for wellness programmes.

As a result, organisations have considered the need to respond to the changes in employee needs, resulting in a heightened focus on corporate social responsibility, embedding a wellbeing approach within their culture and introducing various work-integrated learning programmes.

Despite this, experts have predicted in the ISO45003 Psychological Health and Safety guidelines that further significance and even pressure will be put on employers to provide more impactful workplace wellness interventions to mitigate risks.

During the first HR Expert webinar of the New Year, Founder of YFN - Your Fitness Network, Alexandra Forrest will be focusing on the core elements of building a strategic employee wellbeing plan, designed to enhance the health and mindset of your workforce.

- How the pandemic has changed the way organisations look at employee wellbeing with the increased focus on corporate social responsibility

- The importance of physical activity and its effects on our everyday lives in terms productivity at work, mental health, and overall health and wellbeing

- How YFN have created an affordable and incredibly effective employee benefit program

Alexandra Forrest
Founder @YFN - Your Fitness Network
My story is so individual and incredibly common at the same time. I created YFN a few years after I underwent some severe mental trauma. After quite some time, I was diagnosed with chronic depression. That time of my life is still 'foggy' to this date. The only thing that seemed to have given me some temporary relief was when I went to the gym. This has always been the case for me since childhood. Exercise was THE thing that got me through the most challenging times of my life. Its effects on our mental health is indescribable. I want to give this gift to any employer who realised how important employee physical well-being is throughout the pandemic. I created YFN in memory of my dad, who sadly took his own life at 46. He didn't have this magical superpower that's everyone's for the taking, and I am determined to spread this around the world. I am on a mission to change and save lives through exercise, and you are welcome to join me on this journey. Together we can Do.More.Be.More.
